They in fact have 12 modes on the SR…
Hot cue (roll), roll, trans, slicer, combo fx, sampler (roll) plus groups 1-4. Groups 1-4 aren’t even usable in Serato.
However…
Most of the modes are hard-wired. All of the pad plus modes have a macro in them, I believe the roll does too. And only the sampler is velocity sensitive. So if you wish to use all features of the remix decks in traktor for instance, you’re better of adding an F1. That’s what I use anyway. Fingerdrumming is impossible on pretty much any controller as you sometimes want to twist the pads 90 degrees depending on your routine.
Therefore, it depends what you want to do with them. For triggering loops every once in a while it’s more than fine, but for anything sophisticated you’d want some dedicated controller.
