Pretty much. As far as I see it, EDM is what people use to describe electronic music as a whole. Then there are sub-genres in it, like house, electro-house, trance, breaks, jungle, ect, ect. Dance really isn’t a genre, since EDM stands for Electronic Dance Music, but you have the right frame of thinking 😉
