I use Mixvibes Cross and since (like in most DJ software) it has no dedicated field for energy level, I have Mixed in Key put it in my comment field as the first field, followed by the key. Then in Cross I select the comment field to view and make it so small it just shows the energy level.

    Hope that made sense.

    1) Open Mixed In Key.

    2) Click ‘Personalize’

    3) Click ‘Update Tags’

    4) Under ‘Should Mixed In Key update common tags?’, click ‘Store key result and energy.’

    5) Under ‘Where should Mixed In Key store these results?’, click ‘Overwrite comments’

    6) Click ‘Re-tag existing files’ at the bottom of the page.

    Hope that helps.

Actually in “Mixed In Key 7” it is the following:

    Click ‘Personalize’

    Click ‘Update common tags’

Under ‘Tag writing options’ click ‘Write only the energy level (‘7′)’

Under ‘Where to write it’ click ‘Overwrite comments’

Same as DJ Flanksteak wrote but different wording. Maybe its different wording for a Mac and PC. I’m on a Mac.

And make sure you add the comment column in Serato DJ.
