ParticipantWhat type of speakers with what type of connections? Some stereo/hifi speakers don’t have rca connectors on the back so you may need a tuner to run the dj i/o into.

ParticipantThe speakers will be RCA connectable, but my problem is
A. Will I be able to use the mixtrack-> DJ IO-> PA speaker setup and get volume in both speakers with RCA cables
B. Will the setup work with Virtual DJ LE
C. How do I do it.
Thanks in advance for the help. Much appreciation.

ParticipantCopied from the Numark forums:
You will need to go to VDJ ‘config’ and set up master playback: output 1&2/ Headphones(preview monitor) 3&4 once both devices are recognized by the computer. The mixtrack is plug and play but the DJIO will need a driver. The current drivers are listed here.

The mixtrack is just a controller. All audio will be going to and from the Dj IO.
Google is your friend!!

ParticipantI dont have the numark DJ Io yet so I don’t know if the setup will work with two speakers or if it will work in VDJ LE, and thanks a lot for your help, you’re a huge help.

ParticipantDo you live near a pro audio store? I’m sure someone there wouldn’t mind showing you how to properly set up your gear. It will just take a little initiation of taking your gear to the store and being courteous on your part for someone to take you serious enough to spend time with you.
I would also recommend finding Youtube videos centered around how to hook up the “Mixtrack Pro to PA Speakers”. There should be quite a few videos available. The other recommendation I have is to purchase the “How To Digital DJ Fast” on this site.

It shpuld work as it would be a pretty terrible trial versoin if you couldn’t play music. if all else fails get a 3.5mm male to stereo rca male cable just in case. Even if you don’t end up using it one day you will.

ParticipantYeah I already have one as a backup plan. And I’m really hoping that this will work because I dont want to ruin my friends sweet 16 like that, especially since its my first gig and I could grow my fan base if I perform well. Thanks for all the help and if someone knows for sure and can let me know that’d be greatly appreciated.

don’t worry I’m sure it will work especially if you have the “get out of jail free”
cable. I rocked that way for a while when I was just starting out. VDJ should auto detect the sound card once you install it’s drivers.August 1, 2013 at 9:35 pm #42777Jalen Smith
ParticipantThanks for all the help everyone. Last question and then I think I’m done. If I use the the get out of jail free cable can I use it on two speakers?

It depends on the speakers and whether or not you are plugging into a mixer or amplifier or directly

ParticipantFrom the USB DJ Io directly to the speakers via RCA cables

If the speakers have rca inputs it shouldn’t be a problem
