OK, this just got a lot more simple. I tried using the mixtrack with serato DJ – the buzzing noise is gone! I go back to traktor – the buzzing noise is back. so it’s a software problem with the mixtrack, and faulty hardware with the NS7II.

Well, that is an interesting development. Could it be latency settings for the MixTrack?

I think you’re on the right track there. the lowest possible setting I can select in Traktor is 20ms. in Serato it is 2ms.

Not getting below 20ms suggests that you are not using an asio driver or other low latency on your system or that it is there but not selected in Traktor. See if you have any options in your traktor setup panel.

The drivers that serato use are obviously specific to their hardware software combination.

Hello all, sorry to hijack this post, however I do have a bit of info on this topic that maybe somewhat helpful or shed some light.
I own the Numark NS7FX & NS7II, I use Virtual DJ 8 on PC Win 7 Pro. I get this same crackling, popping sound after about two hours of use on both FX & II. I have updated my bios, expanded USB memory, new cables, sent the unit in for repair, used a Mac, another PC, Updated drivers, replaced cables, tried Traktor, VDJ & Serato… NOTHING HAS WORKED! Recently Numark 4Trak users have also reported this problem. The only conclusion left, it HAS to be the Numark Drivers! I never had this problem until 2014 and updated my Numark sound drivers. This topic has really starting to heat up as Numark owner are starting to pour in with complaints about this exact issue on the Numark forums page. If I get a fix or hear of one, I will post it asap.

I have had this problem for over a year and a half now.

If anyone else can find a fix please let us know!

    Thanks!

Hello I had the same problem with my Pioneer!I think is not a problem of PSU of NS7II but problem is the PSU of your PC especially if you are using laptop!Try to disconnect usb cable from the controller and you will see the difference! In my case I conected another laptop and problem gone!
