    Hi,

I would personally pick the XLR connection.
If only because you’ll be using the pretty good ZED preamp.

Line in is expecting a higher voltage eg, cd player. HiZ is for say, a guitar, so that’s no good either.
So XLR is the go as it is best suited for the job.
On the receiver you could use unbalanced TR out but you are limited to a 3 meter cable length and the chance of interference. (you can make an unbalanced TR- XLR cable by bridging pins 1 and 3 on the xlr plug). XLR balanced can have huge cable runs and is much less prone to interference.

Nope, not gonna work. Not only is the TR a High-Z output, it’s high level too. If you run it into the XLR (Mic Preamp!) it will be way too hot and good chance it will redline even with gain turned completely down (which means you will experience distortion by the way).

Mic OUT will match Mic IN in impedance (low Z) and level. You might (have to check) get away with hooking up TR (unbalanced Jack out from PGX4) to instrument in, but not quite sure what the levels will do (instrument levels are typically a lot lower than line -20 vs 0 or even +4dBu). So that might still be too hot. The final option could be TR to TR(S?) line input on the ZED10 (ch1-2).

Knowing all that AND the advantages of balanced: Get a decent XLR- XLR cable. Use that and you should be good to go.

    Greetinx,
    C.
