    A few options I would say:

    Upgrade to Serato full version, you should be able to record from within the DJ software.
    Buy a full version of one of the other DJ software programs (Traktor, MixVibes Cross, Virtual DJ). Same story on recording I think.

    Two advantages, no worries about how to record now and in the future and you’ll have real grown up full featured software to go play with at the gig.

    to record it through audacity you would have to run it through the mic input not the headphone.
