The ergo has a button for the headphone marked cue on one side, master on the other, mix in the middle. When turned toward cue, you should only hear the cue signal in your headphone. When turned towards master, only the master signal. When around the mix mark, you should hear both.
As far as I know (have only played with the Ergo once or twice), it does give you the signal in both ears (i.e. stereo). This is slightly less optimal from true split cue (in which case the signal also gets split to left and right ear), but it can definitely be done. Just be sure you practice. It’s a different animal from doing it the ” normal” way.
