    It takes a lot of practice to be able to get them right. A lot of the time it will be just because the two songs your mashing don’t sound good together, so you should keep that in mind, and if you’re layering a vocal sample, remember to match up the peaks to the right parts of the song, play around with it. Just keep working at it.

    surprisingly, ive done all my mashups the “old school” way, by making a one-shot recording on serato, and later master sound quality on audacity. feel free to check this one I made. If you like, i can give you more advice on making them this way [media=youtube]4qv5_Jch0dY[/media]

    Mixed In Key’s Mashup software is quite clever the way it takes care of the key mixing stuff for you, it’s a good scratchpad to find out what ideas work and don’t, quickly.
