    If you want a very cheap (free) way to quickly just start playing with beats, give RemixLive from Mixvibes a spin. Available for iOS and Android and possibly even PC/Mac I think.

    Even if you don’t like it, your kids will live it! In this case be sure to get some hearing protection though 😛

    P.s. Not just a toy, if I understand correctly it can even link/sync with Ableton.

    So I’ve played around with it for a while, and it’s pretty cool. Will definitely tinker with it more..

    However, what I’m referring to is more finger drumming than anything else. I saw some videos of the midi fighter, but I’m wondering if my laptop can handle running Ableton and Traktor at the same time so that I can include it in my performance.

    Before I get to that point though.. any particularly great finger-drumming apps for the iPad for beginners?
