    You should ask for a base fee.
    I would ask for at least 100-200 bucks just to show up. (Start negotiating with 300)
    That should easily be covered by the money he gets at the door plus his share of that. Then the 10% are OK.

    Agreed, the bar staff aren’t on a cut of profits, that should only every be one of the elements of how you’re paid, not the only element.
