I pretty much use loadmarker/droppoint, perhaps a cue at a point where I have 4 bars before the vocals start (especially in tracks with long intro’s), maybe a fade-out point (but only if I imagine using the track in autoplay mode). I don’t see the use of setting a cue point a minute before the end, unless you intend to hot cue to it to make a very long track a bit shorter. If it’s a song with a short outro, or a better mix point earlier in the track, I might set a loop there (so I have more time to make a longer mix).

I use Cross, so I can name the cuepoints, which helps keeping things clear. Not sure if you can in Traktor. But I try to keep it to a maximum of 4 cue points/loops per track.

    Just my € 2,34.

So easy to go overboard with the Cue points. DJ Vintages advice is solid.(as usual)

In Traktor I also like to set a couple of loops in each track. One near the start of the track and another close to the mix out point. Like Vintage says we can use these to extend the mix in or out. These can be as small as 1 to 32. Occasional vocal drop points are good for teasing the crowd but these are secondary points 5-8.
