MemberTake a look at this: http://www.native-instruments.com/#/en/products/dj/traktor-scratch-pro-2/?page=2235
Then select “Certified Upgrade Kit” – this is what you need.
Bascially the bundle includes Control Vinyl, Control CDs, and the appropriate software to get TSP2 up an running with your mixer – it’s far cheaper then buying the full version!

Thanks for the reply!
I have phoned Native Instruments to argue the point that if you buy a Traktor certified mixer without owning Traktor previously then there should be the full software programme that comes with it – otherwise you would have to buy the mixer plus the full kit – a major expense! They are still looking in to my enquiry and I will update people of the outcome.
Thanks again!!

ParticipantIf you did’nt have Traktor already installed with the SW that comes with your Nexus.
Do you not have that CD/DVD still ibn your possision? If so.
Uninstall all versions on your HD, Install the nexus version and upgrade with your upgrade version.
Problem solved, or am I missing something??//DJ Hessler

Thanks for the reply.
Pioneer do not supply SW with the Nexus but have certified the mixer with Traktor Scratch. After a battle with Native Instruments, they have activated the SW so I am able to use it. However, I am experiencing problems with it reading the timecode CD’s. It does play them for a couple of tracks but then I lose control from the CD’s and have to use Traktor as a stand alone. Not ideal when playing live!! I think it could be my macbook is not powerful enough as it is a few years old with only 1G ram running OS X 10.6.8 with a Intel 2 Dual core. I am waiting for another responce from NI.

I do also have a Macbook pro with Intel Dualcore and it works well with my Denon X1700/S3700 setup.
So for you it should work fine with your Mac as well. But I would suggest that you might try to get it some more Ram
I have 3Gb in mine….. If you get it some more Ram it will proberble be faster in everyday use and work better with your set up.
Wich CD players are you using with your Nexus?
And do NOT use SPDIF digital cable between CD and Nexus! That causes problems with timecode, use regular analouge cables and line from CD to mixer.
Be sure to not have mastertempo activated on your CD players that also causes problems with timecode.
At last, do you get 100% sync when playing track 1 on timecode CDs before playing any tune?
I hope this can help you.//DJ Hessler

ParticipantI had a look at NIs site and your Mac is not up to spec to be used with Traktor.
It states at least 2Gb Ram, so that is proberbly why you have issues.
Update your Ram, and it shold work as supposed to…..http://www.native-instruments.com/#/en/products/dj/traktor-pro-2/?page=2050
