After a lot of online searching and watching the ‘how to digital DJ fast’ videos, and far more importantly having had a look at a few controllers in real life today, I’m leaning towards the Denon MC3000. Mostly for the metal rather than plastic build quality, plus the 4 deck, multi hot cue points and effect controls. I also like the fact that it works well with both Tracktor and Virtual DJ (think that’s what it’s called) Will probably order one online tomorrow. ($167 cheaper than the ‘discount’ store I went to today.) Should more than cover the cost of software and I can try both as demos first.
