Hi Daniela, welcome to the forum and to digital djing. I am sure you will love it.

BTW the Pioneer XDJ Aero looks fantastic, I am sure it will do eveything you need to get started and so much more.

I would recommend signing up for the How to DJ Fast course if you havent already. It is money well spent in my book as it takes you through from absolute beginner to putting together your own mixes in easy steps. Phil makes it really easy to understand what going on and you can take it at your own pace. I still go back over the lessons if I am struggling with something in particular to see if I can pick anything up i missed first time around.

Put the effort in and you will soon reap the rewards but most importantly enjoy it.

Hi Crem, thank you. I have purchased to the Dj fast course and yes it’s really good and helped me to decide what I needed, bit stuck now until I get my Aero. thank you for you words of support. My biggest worry is bit matching as I did struggle when I took my first course, but I believe it is because I could not practice at home.

    🙂

    Welcome!
Practice makes perfect, particularly with beat matching 🙂
While you’re waiting for your Aero, you can still practice – download Virtual DJ Home (Free) or Mixx (Free, Open Source) and learn the keyboard shortcuts. Phil wrote an article on it a couple of years ago…

It’s definitely not a wasted skill – if you were ever doing a gig and your controller caught fire you could just hop onto your keyboard until you could fix it. You can also practice your mixing when you don’t have your controller. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve rocked a mix on the train home from work…
