    The general consensus seems to be that, when using timecode, electronic DJs use Traktor Scratch, and hip hop DJs use Serato Scratch, but honestly I would try both if possible and see which works better for you

    I didnt mean to come off as “only DJs who play X music use Y product,” sorry if you got that impression. I was stating a general impression, which is why I clarified by suggesting he / she try both and see which he / she is more comfortable with

    Well my second hand SL1 is on its way so hopefully ill get on with it. If not it was only £180 so I’m sure I could sell it on. Do you think I should buy new needles? These technics decks have only been used once or twice in the 3 years.

    i tried to install serato intro and it not only crashed, it shut down my entire computer.
    i was going to look into why, but if its doing that off rip then i would not want trust the software in a live set, even if i had a more capable system.
    (bad first impression)
