Hey and welcome to our forum!

Wow nice story you have there. Yes I know the love for the music never goes away, I tried to stop, but Phil made me not to hehe So here I am moderating a DJ forum, still driving around to spin a few festivals and doing some weddings and events locally and the usual club special once a month or so… I always say I need to cut back, but it is so darn hard hehe

How is Oregon? I have been to a lot of the states (really like Seattle) but never was in Oregon (or maybe drove through it only).

Thanks for the welcome Terry. When I first moved to Portland in 1993 the music scene was dead as far as Electronica goes, it was a completely MTV driven market. It took a few years but the internet opened up Portland, in fact my wife and I went to see BT a few months ago in a really small venue then in November we saw Gabriel & Dresden at the same venue , go back to like the year 2000, yes 2000 and i doubt there were 100 people in this city who knew who BT was (saw him live in Seattle around 1997).
Portland has the BEST variety of restaurants on the entire west coast along with the best food, it’s a great place to live. Not many “GREAT” music venues here ,but lots of “Good” ones

Nope I live in Austria now. It is a cool small country.

It was either Austria or Colorado for me work wise when I retired DJing to a hobby again and since I did not get a green card when my working contract in Colorado Springs expired… had to go to Austria hehe

But I have been quite around the US DJ and then work wise before. I was near Portland a lot in Nevada, Idaho and even Montana, but never got around to visit Portland or Washington (except Seattle, which I liked). However I took a great liking to the “middle west”, loved the Country sides of Montana, Idaho, Wyoming and Colorado. Went bowhunting a lot with some friends and such. Great times. Well OK some things also were a bit of a drag (like driving 4 hours to see a football game) but the awesome country made up for it. Really freed my mind to have been there… (but I am still a Broncos fan and watch every game I can hehe)
