I would think that the song is not beatgridded well. Check that first.

Like Terry said, it probably has something to do with your beatgridding, especially if you have snap or quantize mode activated. Do you notice a pause or a stutter when you drop cue points as well? If so, a combination of bad grids and either of those are most likely the cause.

I have found this too. Even though all my songs were analysed they would still jump. If you can see your beatgrids are out on a track just re-analyse that particular track and that should sort it.

How much RAM you pushin’? On my 09′ MacBook that did have 2GB RAM, there would be skipping, popping, and the occasional freeze up. Installed another 2GB, never happened again.
