I am no expert on RekordBox, but if you’re going to go lossless you’ll definitely want a format that allows tagging. Just check RekordBox’s specs on the Pioneer site to make sure you’re covered. RekordBox is “iTunes for DJs”, so there’s no point really having both as far as I can see.

Most of us round here use iTunes and DJ software, so we’re not generally experts on CDJs and Pioneer’s library software though.

Stanley, I know you’re not using the exact format as I am so for an approximate comparison; I use WAV format, 900 CD’s or 12,724 songs is 694 gb

CDJs don’t support FLAC. Lossless is a useless waste of space for DJing anyway. Rip everything to iTunes with the computers CD drive, and use the iTunes Bridge function in Rekordbox to import it (allows you to browse iTunes from within RB). Use Audacity or a DAW for the vinyl. Encode it all in 320k MP3/AAC or WAV if you have space you want to get rid of, and everything should be seamless.
