I know the type you are referring to. And while they are ok to keep in your pocket for a concert or club visit, getting custom fit ones is so much better. Way more comfortable, you pick the amount of damping you need and, usually, they have a flatter damping curve than the cheaper ones. Having said that, especially in the beginning your ears and brains will have a hard time getting used to them. Once you are used, you can DJ with them in just as you could without them.

Various brands around. Check articles over on the blog and here on the forums.

Go get yourself a good pair. And regardless of what they cost, remember you spend thousands on gear and music, spending a couple of hundred bucks on protection for your ears is really cheap in the long run!

Thanks for the help guys, my right is is still hurting today and ringing, so I’m going to get it checked.

Plugs are on my buy list today so I’m going to surf the web for a couple of hours and then let you know which I picked and how good they are over the weekend.

    Thanks.

Etymotic will help. BUt plz check for your Hearing Damage Test by doing a Test from an Audiologist. BOth your ears should be able to trace all the sounds produced by teh Audiometer.

Or else stay away from loud noise

    All the best
