Hello from the oldest (?) DJ on the board

Well I guess my pondering question has been answered!!!
Hi Guys My name is David! I am from Rochester, NY. I DJ’d back in a couple of clubs here in the mid 90’s!
I was ok I think LOL! I had to leave Djing for things were getting crazy in my life and I actually felt I was getting to old. I wish I had stayed current with it. I have always enjoyed the art of mixing music and I still love music, don’t get the opportunity to go out that much any more to listen to music, so i am at a loss when it comes to what is good and not.
As I was saying in the beginning was that I am 47 now and was wondering if I was too old to get back into the scene!

Never too old to get back in the scene…1968 here. Music doesn’t judge or have an age limit…it just likes to be heard by anyone willing to play it….so enjoy yourself and never second guess.

However, you know you’ve been spinning discs a while when ya take the headphones off and hair is falling on the vinyl…lol. I blame my headphones for my bald spot, not age….wink wink.

Actually, my tech 12’s are 30 yrs old and still in excellent condition!

I’m hobbiest and just enjoy mixing traxx and coming up with new mix idea’s.

It’s a way for me to have fun and relax.

I agree with sFm, it is never too late and at the end of the day it’s all about having fun. If it is something you like doing then it doesn’t even need a second thought. Get stuck in!

Hey Dj John Luka… Im a 58 year danish dj, who in 8 weeks gets 59 year, so looks like there are some older dj`s here, which its great. I been djing 10-12 years now, and my love for it is growing, part of what keeps me going is to explore some of the new music styles, as well to developing as a dj, and having fun with it.
