    No not used that I am sorry.

    Most electro people like to use Logic, Ableton and Reason… these are the 3 big production tools.

    Thanks for the words of welcome.

    Just that I have a full copies of energy-xt that came with a Behringer UCA222 audio interface and Behringer Xenyx 1002FX 10 channel mixer.

    It seems a versatile package and appears to be compatible with all the free VST plug-ins that I’ve tried.

    I wanted to see whether producing electronic music was for me and whether I could generate something ‘passable’ while learning some basic techniques, prior to investing in something more substantial.

    Well you can always download Ableton Live Demo and give it a spin for 30 days.

    Didn’t realise that the Ableton Live 9 Intro was only AUD$99.  Might be worth giving the demo a spin and then paying for this and then upgrading to the standard later.

    Hellow Nodz,

    Ableton is definitely more user friendly to get you started in music production, a couple of tweaks here in there you can get yourself a leads melody and some beats within a days

    So that’s why I a never got the hang of producing. I thought laying down a beat was supposed to take 15 mins max. I got frustrated after about 10!
