KeymasterLook into the bigger AKG line (not the Tiesto branded, they are more expensive although very good).
You might also want to look at the Zomo HD-1200, but you have to check if it really fits over your ear, as it does not fit everybody…

ParticipantTerry gave me the same recommendation, to get Zomo HD-1200, now when I finally got my pair and after using them for few weeks all I can tell is that Zomos are really great headphones in that price range. So +1 for the Zomos.
PS. They have also very friendly support, they sent me wrong color of headphones and after a 2 days I got second pair for free!

ParticipantCheers guys, there are some leads here I probably wouldn’t have found otherwise!
Thanks especially to Terry_42; as Keymaster, may you find your Gatekeeper and even prepare for the coming of Gozer.
I’ll try to physically check out the Zomos, Phil’s review (http://www.digitaldjtips.com/2012/07/review-video-zomo-hd-1200-dj-headphones/) specifically mentioned “<span style=”background-color: #f7f7f7; font-family: Verdana, Geneva, Tahoma, sans-serif;”>Of course, they’re not built for long-term comfort for wearing, rather for continually pulling on and off your head.</span>”, but the proof’s in the wearing.

ParticipantHello all. Have a question a very common one though.
I cant seem to decide which pair should I get?
My heart is set on the Technics RPDH 1200, but can anyone recommend anything better in that category. <span style=”color: #000000; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 26px; line-height: normal;”>
</span>The thing is that these ones seem to have everything except for the fact that they’re all Plastic so not so sure cause of that.
I was looking into Reloop and Pioneer but still cant make up my mind.
Suggestions will be highly appreciated. Merci à tous.

KeymasterIMHO the above mentioned Zomo HD-1200 sound much better, but that is up to you.
The reloop RHP-20 are excellent headphones but a bit more pricey and cannot be folded as small (which I do not care about, but some do).

ParticipantI personally use the Audio Technica ATH-M50’s. These are arguably the best headphones out there right now. I can also testify to that. The sound quality is absolutely amazing. They have a very nice balanced sound, and the bass is definitely not jacked up as is the case with Dr. Dre Beats. The ATH-M50’s are so good, you could even use them to produce music in the future if you so desire. They are studio quality stuff. I saw that Terry suggested the AKG’s. From what I have read is that the headphones are not built very well and break easily. You are free to do more research with that if you wish. The M50’s are also built well, so you should not have a problem with that. I highly recommend these headphones and you will not regret getting them. The only down-side I will say is that they are a bit pricy, but I thought it was worth it. If your DJ headphones break, you could use these instead and still listen to them casually. Check them out.

KeymasterDillon you are referring to the cheap Tiesto AKGs (the sub 60 bucks cans).
The top line (100 bucks plus) AKG headphones are built like tanks and their sound quality is outstanding.
In my experience the Audio Technica are good, but nowhere near the soundquality of a good pair of Sennheiser HD-25s.
