Serato ITCH is best, Traktor worst.

MemberItch. Started at traktor. I like traktor but itch is just so easy to use. I also use sync all the time in traktor. I never use it in itch and I do 4-6 hour gigs in itch. Waveforms and interface is so much better for me

MemberStarted with VDJ, switched to Traktor Scratch Pro for DVS and general improved controller mapping, upgraded to TSP2, now since I’m after a Novation Twitch I’ll be ITCH certified so I’ll certainly be giving that a go, though I won’t be dumping Traktor any time soon.

What can I say, I never looked back.
Same here – hearing Sasha’s Essential Mix brought Ableton to my attention initially and then I saw a video of Steve Helstrip (The Thrillseekers) using his APC40 to control Traktor and I made the switch… although I’ve since switched to using hardware not software, so I’ve not used Traktor for months.

Memberall started with whatever was supplied with BCD2000 & I also had a little rub with VDJ back in the day when I was purely & occasionally messing about at my mate’s studio; then Traktor Studio came along where I’ve remained since 01/10 with the extended loan of BCD2000. .. Why did I switch? my mate convinced me that Traktor was the industry’s standard for Digital and I believed him since I had no prior knowledge of any form of DJing.

MemberI started off with an Omni Control and Traktor Pro, quickly switched to A&H Xone: DX and Itch. The waveforms and the simplicity of Itch is what I love the most about it, and it’s what I hated about Traktor.

MemberIt took me a Long Time to make the Transisition from my CDDJ’s to Software;
I began with VDJ; then moved to Deckadance; Traktor DJ Studio 3; Traktor Pro 2; and Torq;
But; having learned to DJ with Ableton I haven’t found anything to touch its Capabilities; and so I Always use that nowJune 26, 2011 at 1:00 am #670Matias Padilla
ParticipantStarted with Traktor 2.5, jumped on the Deckadance wagon for a while but jumped back. Happy T2 user now.

Memberstarted with traktor,now on traktor pro 2…although there are a few CPU peaks sometimes with tpro2 im happy with it,thinking it`s a bug with those peaks..really enjoying those trippy “spectrum” waveforms in traktor pro 2 .-)

Have you updated to 2.0.2? I had some peaking issues at times and 2.0.2 fixed those.

MemberI started with VDJ that came with the Mixtrack pro, I’m plannin to upgrade to VDJ 7 Pro within the upcoming weeks. Then this holidays, I might get a Numark NS6 and prolly try to mess around with ITCH.
I’ve also tried the demo version of Traktor Pro 2, and I guess it’s got quite a high learning curve for a complete newbie that started out feelin DJ’n a few months back. But I really wanted to use TP2’s capabilities as it seems quite awesome. My only gripe with TP2 is that I wanted to see parallel waveforms. I’m not basing it on the visual side but I’d love to see when I would execute the breaks and all that stuff.

GuestI started on a cracked copy of Virtual DJ3 (sorry to say), fell in love with it and have never looked back. Now am on VDJ Pro 7, and still loving it. I have tried Traktor but its just too much for me. Serato, Itch……. not yet, but I don’t think so. Maybe on the day I will afford the NS6! I have never understood why people love iTunes, its just not for me. I know this is crazy but I love Jet Audio, I manage my playlists there and also tag all my music with it. You can’t integrate it into your DJ software like iTunes, but am not complaining. Just my 2 cents.
