My son is good at this stuff, he’s been living instruments since he was 6 or 7. Plays several these days, knows his keys by heart. Tries to explain to me from time to time. To no avail, lol.
I get it, when I sit down, study it in all peace and quiet. But no way would I be able to do anything with it in live sessions. Hence the gratitude towards the Camelot Wheel. I can add or substract 1 or the occassional 2. And move diagonally 1 up or down. That’s the extent of it.
