    Hey Flexe, Welcome to the forums! Likin your style! i also mix drum and bass and a bit of dubstep 🙂 Are you into the more modern skrillexy stuff or do you prefer the old skool dub? Be sure to post one of your mixes up soon!

    I gotta admit that I occasionally like listening to some Skrillex tunes, but I heard that he went the future house route so I don’t really consider him a dubstep artist 🙂 I like artists like Caspa, Trolley Snatcha, Skism, Eptic (an upcoming Belgian fella), Modestep etc. But also more underground things like Distance, Von D, Kryptic Minds, Silkie, …

    DnB: Sub Focus, Tantrum Desire, Drumsound & Bassline Smith, … But I dig old school stuff as well (Sub Zero, Logistics, …)

    Nice really like your style, yeah modestep are good, i love Exile and Dub King are my fav tunes 🙂 Yeeeaaa Caspaaaaa, all the dub police fellas are right up there on my list and the dubplate artists like Hatcha and Breakage.

    Don’t get me wrong some of Skrillex’s earlier tunes were really good, i loved Ruff Neck Bass but then after that he went all over the top and EVERYONE liked him. I prefer the underground scene definately!

    So how long have you been mixing for buddy? Need to get yaself on soundcloud if you havn’t already got an account!

    You’ve got a nice taste yourself! And yeah Skrillex’s work is very disputable, although he invented a few addicting tunes indeed. To me Ruffneck Bass is as well the one that comes to mind immediately haha.

    And I only picked up mixing last month. I have been playing the guitar since 2002, but don’t enjoy it as much as I did before our band split up in 2006.

    Anyways it’s nice to meet someone on the net with similar taste! I will definitely look out for your mixes around the forum and I will post mine asap. Shouldn’t be a problem since I am already using Soundcloud hehe.

    Aww thats a shame, i started learning guitar when i was 13 but never went anywhere with it, like you i just lost interest in the end lol. Yeah check out my mixes, i have only been doing it for about a year myself but i have my first gig lined up this saturday so i’m really nervous! Lol.     Yeah I have to say I already learned a fair deal by reading the blogs over here! It’s really nice to have stumbled upon such a nice community.

    And in that case we should all be crossing our fingers on saturday. But I already listened to your DnB mix and I’m pretty sure you’ll nail the gig. If not it will be the public’s or venue’s fault haha.

    Btw, you will find my first mix in the other section 😉 It’s probably not as good as the other mixes that were already posted over there, but everybody needs to start somewhere.

    Ahhh wicked that was quick! I’m at work at the moment so i can’t get away with listening to tunes but i will be sure to check it out when i get home later 😉 Aww thanks very much i’m very nervous but DEAD excited! Yeah this place really is one of the nets little gems, everyone is so helpful and if you ever need advice or help on a specific topic, there’s usually tons of blogs and threads that will provide you with answers. Thanks for checking out my mix i really appreciate it 🙂
