Though that’s not to say this paper has a solution that would be usable for our needs – but it’s something I got a wild hair to research, because I know the theoretical/leading edge end of audio processing is way ahead of the stuff we’re using right now.

Now this is interesting… the math for sound separation seems to have some noticeable similarities to the math for simulation of cloud formation.
