Got a big gig tonight – Stick with tried and tested?

If it is a bigger club they will usually have a tech there.
So I would ask if you can show up early (before the club opens) get your stuff connected beforehand (AND TEST THEM), so you just need to hook up your laptop when the time comes. Usually works for me and is much easier as on the fly conversion. You can then smoothly retire for some relaxing time before your set and have all things setup and tested.

Also if you concerned about the big name artist/DJ, have a short chat with them before the gig, just to make sure they dont have this “Who the heck is this noob DJ, setting up all this crap thinkin hes a big time superstar” attitude
