Disable the Win7 auto updates? Set up a system restore point and save it once you have a setup that works? Disable all auto-updating background services?

    Serious Advice to anybody:

I DO recommend the tool DiskSpace.
It scans your HDD or any partition and tells you exactly which folder is how big, how many files in it, and you can step down and up in the folder hierarchy – giving you a complete insight on where the hell your space went.

(coloured areas may be clicked, and Disk Space will again open the selected folder into a more detailed diagram).
No, this ain’t a screenshot from my computer 😀

    Superuseful! 😉

(but I don’t know whether it exists for MAC)

I would have to agree know need to buy an over priced Mac at all even though they are made well.
There is know such thing as a mac in any way better then a pc with the same specs and if you search
youtube now a days for a review you will see in the next year apple will fall way behind pc makers
from what I can see. I do like the way apple does some things and came close to getting one but now
that windows 8 is out and about and with touch and apple only has on there ipads and iphone at this time.

So guys it really is a know brainer on what is a better deal for your bucks pc’s for many reasons.
maybe apple will come down to earth with there pricing and I’m sure they will make a better deal
    for all down the road.

Pc’s have very good quality even better when you get up into the apple price ranges it looks like 1,000.00
dollars is the magic number for whats out there right now and most of them are over kill for what is needed to dj
or karaoke with. Now with video being a big deal now better to have the power or head room like an amp.

Yup I would agree with Phil you can do more witha pc based machine and that’s not saying apple is not a cool laptop just not needed to do the job unless you have deep pockets and like to spend money for nothing or maybe you think it makes you look better to have others see the apple.

Ok guys all Mac vs PC ranting posts have been deleted.
There are opinions on both and we had this discussion over and over and especially we will not tolerate ranting posts with bad language and weak arguments just for arguments sake.

If you want to rant on Mac vs PC then please refer to the usual ranting forums, there are plenty on the internet. Here we are above this and we strive not to let such things lose in our forums and are focused on high quality civil discussions.
So please keep it this way, even if you are emotional about a topic.

Thanks for your understanding and sorry for any inconvenience the editing may have caused.
Since the originals posters question is answered the topic is closed.
