I like glitch hop. It was pretty popular (in a more underground type of way) years ago, before dubstep (or brostep) was big commercially. It already kinda made a revival not too long ago but seems to be fading again. I think it will be similar to moombahton/110 in the fatc it enjoyed some commercial success but will never totally dominate the music scene like dubstep did.

Thanks for the share and mix. To my ears, it’s similar to dubstep – but I don’t like dubstep and I really like this. You’ve given me a new area of music to investigate.

Modern bro/dubstep took a lot of influence from glitch hop

This is my genre of choice (midtempo/neurohop/glitch hop, whatever you want), actually, and I have a feeling it’s going to explode. It’s faster than dubstep, but has the same heaviness to it with a bit of added swing. It’s the funk of this generation, as far as I’m concerned! Today’s glitch hop is loads different from glitch a few years back, though.

Agreed, it’s just such a catch genre of music that has seriously evolved as of late. Heard KOAN Sound live at Creamfields and they smashed it, honestly amazing.

I find it refreshing and there is a lot of innovation in the genre, but there are also a lot of people riding the bus that do not yet know where it is going. But that can be fun too hehe

Yeah! I like these guys! Have not heard any glitch hop before, and I was worried it was going to be too much like dubstep, which I’m not really into. But as Kyle put it, it’s got that extra swing and it’s kinda funky.
    Nice one.

The bus is always a magical journey! I really do look forward to see where this genre goes.

I really like glitch hop, it sounds better then dubstep to me. Don’t get me wrong I do like dubstep but I feel like people are doing to much with it for my taste. I personally find glitch hop hard to produce put it has a certain swing to it that’s just amazing. its something that you can move to pretty easily. I need to find some more good glitch hope besides just Bassnectar and Koan Sound.

Glitch is really growing on me. My fav. Glitch right now is Pretty Lights…he is a sample based producer that has been kicking out some crazy ass beats

ImO I think Glitch will becoming more mainstream as the current Fluffy, happy face EDM has died down and Glitch will help pave the way for Hip Hop to come back more mainstream again.

What goes around comes around…Right now…we are in the 2k disco era…happy bouncy music that makes people wanna dance…shits so fluffy its like stuffing a toy Pomeranian in my ear. Its gonna die down and things are gonna change…Always happens.
