Memberpioneer has always releasing new products during the summer period always on august so you will have to wait 3 months.again i am asuming that don’t take it for granded.
now as far as the s4.it is the best traktor controller.no matter what upgrade or new hardware comes out it will be supported.porter robinson uses it and many other pros. if you want the best traktor experience and use it in clubs get the s4 or 2 x1s. if you will go the mobile route the options are more but still the s4 is the best choice. don’t forget you will work as ni wants you to work. you can’t jump from one day to the other into beat juggling(this is the reason why the f1 is being made) or use cdjs.May 30, 2013 at 1:09 am #40791Edgard Rivera
ParticipantIf the DDJ Tx comes out it still will be a non NI product. Same problems with mapping as every other control out there.

ParticipantQuestion @shawn: Did you start out using Serato first without doing a comparison of Serato v. Traktor? I thought about switching to/or adding Serato DJ and the Pioneer DDJ SX, but I put off the purchase since I haven’t had my Denon MC6000 controller too long.
Nevertheless, I tried Serato Intro and Traktor, but I enjoyed Traktor’s workflow better at the time.

I started out using serato dj cause thats all that came with the box. i love serato and the parrell waves it has which makes mixing so much easier. but i like how much more effects and remixing abilities traktor has. And im switching to Dj’ing with EDM here soon cause the people here are starting to open up to it so i want traktor to help me make the most of that scene.

MemberGot a bit of the same problem, but I’m using VDJ with my Pioneer SX.
The only sing I can say, you can’t trade you’re SX for a S4.
Thats like trading in you’re Benz for a Ford Focus………..June 4, 2013 at 1:31 am #40948djrenots
ParticipantI’d keep the Pioneer DDJ-SX and get either the Numark NS6 or the Numark 4TRAK . I have the NS6 and it’s built like a tank and is mappable to Traktor, the 4TRAK was built for Traktor and has a 12 knob effects panel

ParticipantOh by the way the Traktor Z2 mixer is a great price for a limited time, if you wanted to go that direction.

Participantwhat is the problem you are having importing the vipers tsi? are you on a mac or windows? I’ve used my DDJ SX since november 12 with Traktor.I’ve used my own tsi since day one I had made most of the basic mapping before I had the controller.
To import the Viper mapper you need to use the import button on the preferance main screen and not from the dropdown menu in controller manager tap. Then in the controller mager tab make sure all the Pioneer DDJ SX in the dropdown have the in/out ports set to DDJ SX. I’ve tryed the Viper tsi on bout Mac and Windows if imported right it works perfect with traktor.
So keep you DDJ SX only thing that is better on the S4 is scratching in Traktor for everything else DDJ SX does better then S4 IMHO.June 4, 2013 at 11:01 am #40966gullum

Participantsweet! thankyou so much. ill go and try that right now. i think that favorites one is what screwed me up. but also. i just bought traktor for this. but i can even use it cause you have to register it with another controller. any ideas how to get passed that?

ParticipantIf you bought Traktor from someone that came with a controller you will need the serial under the controller it came with. So if the one you bought it from got it whit an F1 you need the serial from that F1 also for it to work.

Participantnew update: Im banking on what nick greek said and waiting till august. if not…ill just have to wait till NI comes out with a new controller, which!! i hope/predict will be soon with price cuts across the board on traktor controllers. call me hopeful, but im thinking that is the long awaited final sign that a new NI controller is coming out. but there have been price cuts like this many times in the past so im probably wrong. but hey, you cant hate a guy for hoping.
