    everything is permitted… like that. But yeah I for one love when someone mixes 2 genres that you’d never think in a million years would work together. As long as it’s done well. Perhaps a dubstep remix of the fresh prince song… (opens ableton)

    This is hard. My only feeling is just not to cause a drastic change unless you have to.

    Like I would not try to go from trance music to hip-hop in a blend. If I had to change the music, I’d slam it in or something.

    Only rule is it has to work. In the past you saw loads of genre crossover. Most DJs didn’t even use genre names in their marketing/branding.

    I Agree;
    Obviously there Are some Genres that are so Radically Different a Label is ‘Helpful’l
    But; from what we knew as just ‘House’; to Minimal House; Progressive House; Deep House; Hard House; Tech House; Ad Infinitum; things have started to get a little Ridiculous
