You say the new one HAS better screen, jogs, cues and now link. My question is, how you know they are better. Do you mean better from a feature point of view (i.e. bigger, better dots in the rim, more or better positioned buttons, color instead of b/w screen)? Because you can stick features in as much as you like, but that says nothing about the actual quality of the product. I have not heard or seen any significant improvement in Gemini products or their support, but I don’t know everything.
At the end of the day it’s still a company blatantly copying the market leader product and pumping out cheap chinese imitations. So, while there clearly is a market for it, if you are serious about your DJ-ing, your are better off with a beginner controller for 200-300 bucks and a good laptop (that you might already own) than going for a set of Gemini’s that will require an external mixer too and ultimately give you way LESS features and options compared to a controller/laptop setup.
Just my two cents as always.
