Nice story, Cheeku. Deathy told me what happened. Guess it’s true that one good deed leads to another.

I can only imagine what mixing and especially producing must be like on ear buds (regardless of the quality) … Yikes!

I am also very happy to read that you realised that it isn’t the gear that “makes the man”.

Not sure if this Ilse person is ever gonna step forward. Personally i think it’s kewl to be able to just receive a gift in the knowledge that somebody felt like giving it.

As a fan of Deepak Chopra, I know that giving can be it’s own reward. So maybe that is enough for him/her/them.

Yes, but I was hoping that maybe one day, if I’m successful, or rather, WHEN I’m successful, I’ll be able to thank and repay Ilse.

Cheeku, my young padawan friend 😀 .

The gift of giving is not in the gratitude of the receiver, it’s in the knowledge one has selfishly done something for someone else. The gift of giving is it’s own reward.

The best way for the recipient of the gift is to gracefully accept the gift without prejudice.

Apparently the person who did this (Ilse?) has reasons of his/her own to want to remain anonymous. For you to respect that is to respect the gift you have been given.

So, to conclude today’s lesson on the workings of the universe (free after Deepak Chopra), master the art of receiving gifts in the spirit they were given.
