    Hey, thanks for the reply!

    Sorry, I didn’t expect people to want to read what I’ve mixed before listening to it… wanted you guys to listen with ears.. ):

    I mix EDM,trance,house, dance etc… inspired by Sebastian Ingrosso, Hardwell, SHM..!

    However living in Toronto Canada, the EDM scene is not as big… I’m trying to learn how to mix in hip hop in my sets and add more vocals/lyrics so I could maybe think about getting gigs in clubs to share my love for this genre of music, and get people to scream + jump!

    Here’s the tracks I used in this mix:
    MickMag & JustBob – Rise
    Marco V vs Alex_Guesta – Quake (Original mix)
    W&W Lift Off
    FTampa – Kick It Hard (Original Mix)
    3lau, Paris & Simo ft Bright Lights – Escape
    Sebastian Ingrosso & Tommy Trash – Reload

    Well for a first mix it is OKish, but you have a lot of work ahead.
    You really need to nail your basic mixing skills, they are not there yet and still you try to do more than you are able to.
    The track selection is hugely boring, I know it can be fun to try and play all bangers with the same style of line, but come 15m I was bored to death. There is no real energy flow through the mix. Try to find more of a line and tracks that work better in transferring energy. (Do not get me wrong I like all the tracks you used, just the combination was off.)

    So go to basics and try to make it more simple and focus on basic mixing and track selection.

    Thanks Terry, I’ve been waiting for a response like this!
    I agree, after listening to my mix for the 5th time, it was super boring. It was fun when I was mixing them since I just heard these tracks recently and it was still new and fresh in my head! My next mix will be more basic. I realized I was trying to do way too much when I messed up all the vocals, it’s something I recently started doing since I changed from my Hercules mp3 e2 to a Traktor S4 >:) 4 Deck POWER! Haha. Thanks for that, I promise I will improve!
