Just switch everything off. Start with wireless network, then virusscanner. Turn off windows system sounds (to prevent getting those “you got mail” system pings over your speakers in the club. Look in the taskbar and exit/shutdown everything you don’t know for certain you need. It would help some to create a new user, but windows has lots of stuff that is installed for “all users”, so you still need to check what’s running.
Also, you have a few days to go, so start using it asap and check how stable it is. Load all the correct drivers for Traktor. Make a settings backup from the iMac version, restore that in your windows Traktor.
