Ok saved this and finally had time to listen to it today as I needed some extra drum and bass to my coffee 😉

First of all I love the mix.
You really have a great feel of how to build up tension and energy. There is an excellent theme through the whole mix and it takes a lot to make me excited these days, because I heard a lot, but you managed.

Yes technically there is room of improvements on some of the blends and how long the breaks are and how they are arranged, but this is theoretical nonsense. You made a great mix there, you have all the basics nicely in your set, great music selection and most of all you made old Terry excited about a mix, which does not happen often…

Hi Terri, Thank you so much for the feedback that’s really lifted my confidence! I was really quite dubious about my track selection, because i think there are points in the mix where it’s a bit up and down but yes i completely understand about the blends, i know the beats are off on quite a few transitions and i knew that straight away, but i was so eager to get my mixing heard, just for this very reason that i can gain some constructive feedback.

I felt like i was stuck between 2 walls and didn’t feel i was going to get any better unless people have actually heard how i’m doing so far. But this has really encouraged me to try harder and made me feel so much better about myself. Thank you so much! 🙂

Nice mix indeed – i was listening to this from a ‘listeners’ point of view – ie I was working while listening and was concentrating on other things while the mix was playing – which is the frame of mind most clubbers are going to be in whilst out – chatting the ladies up or having a laugh with their buddies and while i was listening i did not notice any of the technicalities, and 99% of the punters are not gonna notice either…

    Keep up the good work^^

Thanks for that Sunjalo! I think when you listen back to your own mixes and stuff your always a lot more critical because you can hear every mistake! But it’s great to have someone else’s opinion who can hear it from a listener’s prospective.

If you or anyone has any more tips on how i can improve then let me know! But thanks again i really appreciate you taking the time to have a listen. 🙂 x
