Any midi assignable rotary dial should do the trick – they are available for not much money from well known manufacturers (Akai/Allen and Heath and even *gasp* Behringer..)

Something like this should do the trick and so much more – this one is at the top of the market though 🙂 http://www.digitaldjtips.com/2014/09/review-video-allen-heath-xonek1-modular-dj-midi-controller/

Have you tried mapping the gain dials on your controller to this? They look perfect for the job and you (probably) don’t use them much anyway…

    Just a couple of thoughts…

The “ultimate” filters for many DJs are the ones built into Allen and Heath DJ mixers – they sound awesome. Unfortunately, they are almost certainly way out of your price bracket…

Such things do exist, but the good ones tend to be quite expensive 🙂

    Hey Bob
Thanks for your reply, those controllers look good
I will try out that suggestion of assigning the gain dials though and see how that works, its an idea i hadn’t really considered being that i do occasionally use the gains very slightly to make a track more prominent whilst im mixing in (probably bad practise), but i suppose i could use volume sliders for each deck for that job

Frankly Cameron, it should work without a problem with the FX buttons/knobs in Mixvibes Cross.

Well it works very well assigning the filters to the gain dials it seems. The reason it may not be working so well with the effects buttons may simply be down to me not having mapped them correctly.

    Glad you’re sorted 🙂

Just hope you dont forget at some point that you have re-mapped them – could be embarrassing 😉

But the buttons are mapped correctly with the standard Cross mapping imho.
