Usually the retailer you purchased it from would be the first point of call.

Thanks for your response. The retailer sold me what I think was a re-conditioned S4, which may not be under warranty. To find this out, the serial number is usually verified with the manufacture to confirm warranty. I bought it from the retailer well over a year ago and it’s difficult to find contact for them, so I’ll have to do some paper chasing to gain their details as it was all an online deal following a faulty DDJ Ergo which proved to be a waste of time. So due to previous dealings with the retailer I doubt they would be able to help – although I will contact them to see what they know, since I’ve had no luck so far and struggling to find a procedure to move on with.
Just seeing if anyone else has had a similar issue with hardware on NI instruments and if anybody can shed any light onto this issue.

So are both left outputs (trs and rca) kaput? If so, as a last resort, you could always do your gigs in mono. You can select mono in the settings for output routing.
    Other things to check.
Goto ‘full mixer mode’ and check pan buttons.
    Check output routing.
If you really need stereo, Route the output to your laptop sound card instead. (this will however render the master volume knob on the S4 non functional)
