If the faders were left up the last time the software was closed they’ve probably stayed that way after you’ve reopened the software again. If you have the faders visible in the user interface you will see this. When you move each fader the new position will be picked up by the software and it will move accordingly. If the Midi control for the fader is set to soft takeover it will only pick up when you move the physical fader to the same position as it is on the screen. The same applies if you move the on screen fader with the mouse on the screen. Hope that helps!
