Have no advice for you Jerry, but lots of sympathy. This just happened to me about two weeks ago. logged in one day, it said id been reported for using a fake name. didnt ask for id, would have preferred that. instead, it asked me to identify five of my friends by picture. problem is, i had about 2000 friends and only about 300 or so were people i actually knew. so, i got locked out and now i cant get back in. whats worse, it was my primary facebook page and so ive been disconnected from both my customers and actual friends. so, no advice for tons of sympathy.

sorry, meant to say: no advice, but tons of sympathy.

what was your dj name, by the way, was it at least derivative of your real name? Mine was my real name, which is wh i would have preferred sending an email. i feel i was given a worse punishment!

Okay, what I think happened is that you set up a personal page for your DJ business. What you were supposed to do was create a business/band page for your DJ business and set permissions to manage it from your other account. I’m not sure what you can do about it now but in the future that will help prevent you from getting locked out.

I actually have two accounts one personal and one business and then off my business one i have a fan page, this keeps everything nice and separate, i cant think of many large companies that would use someones personal account to link to their corporate page so i don’t see the problem here.

Either way i have been locked out of my page for 4 days and facebook thinks thats ok.

If you create and manage a page it is already separate, you set permissions to manage it and to post under the page’s identity. You can set permissions to give other users different permission levels to post as the page and remove permissions whenever you want to. The problem you seem to have is the existence of your “business account”.

I feel as if I want to create a facebook page in protest… hmmm. Perhaps.. No Name. The friend of people who prefer to be anonymous. Whats it to facebook to say we are wrong? I’m going to ponder this one!
