    I don’t use any that are special.
    What I do use though are heavy gauge cords that can handle the amp load and are grounded.
    I also don’t plug all amps, speakers,controller, ect. into the same electrical circuit.

    That’s what I figured. Do you have any links the particular ones you use? I got a Europower 4000 amp. My guess was that I should use that on its own without anything else running through the same plug.

    Using heavy gauge extension cords is a good plan. Always look at the actual power rating for speakers (a 500W speaker does not draw 500W mains power for example, but less).

    If you get cable reels, be sure to FULLY unfurl them. Don’t use them even halfway rolled up. Overheating and consequently fire is a real risk (I speak from experience, folks).

    Another option is to use combination cable, which have an xlr cable and power cable in one. Very handy.
