    It is remixing. I like to do it live all the time, it is why I use a 4-chan controller so I can have up to 4 versions loaded. If you do it live, key is preparation with hot cues etc.
    So I mix it with a Terminal Mix 4 and Virtual DJ Pro.

    You can also prepare a whole remix song of course, I do this by use of Ableton and on the laptop without a controller. However you should really take a look at the numerous Ableton tutorials, as it is no software that is easy to get into (at least it was for me).

    Take a look at Mixed In Key Mashup (http://djtips.co/mashup) for really easy software for doing this to prepare tracks that you then play as a whole in your live sets.
