    2 of my current dj heroes (Guy J & Hernan Cattaneo) are not what I’d term ‘entertainers on the decks’ … there’s no gimmicky stuff from them other than the very occasional raising of their hands when there’s a great drop happening, but their choice of tunes in their sets, the journey they provide and the faultless blending of tracks makes them at the peak of their field.

    I guess it depends upon your type of venue, type of crowd / occasion, type of music you’re playing and the image you want to pass on? Just my £0.02 worth.

    On the other hand, bringing a performance like Dada Life is pretty friggin’ awesome. But by all means, learn to walk before you can run. Learn the basics before you think about these details or you’ll drown in a sea of confusion. Picking the right tracks, reading the crowd and reacting to them is hard enough without the flashy stuff.

    Yip like i said i still have to pull off my first clib gig im really nervous so any advice is highly appreciated ,im new to this but its what i wanted since i was a kid so thanks to everyone that gave me advice i really appreciate it alot
