    For what I have heard, the Serato warning is still up, but it seems to work ok for most people I talked to.

    Haven’t tried it myself yet, but that is planned for this weekend.

    Serato just announced that they now also support El Capitan

    https://support.serato.com/hc/en-us/articles/213821528

    There is a list of hardware issues with the OS on the page, though.
    But they probably apply for all DJ software used on El Capitan

    Thank you very much for the info gentlemen! I believe that instead of jumping
    on this Serato update I’m gonna wait a little longer, hold off and see what happens
    when others update first. Because of my current standings I cannot afford for even one
    thing to go wrong with my DJ rig.

    Only had a really quick peek and all seemed well. Didn’t gig with it yet. Currently in the process of moving things over to my new used MacBook Pro.

    Well then do me a favor if you could and please keep me posted.
    Out of nowhere I’m suddenly having a problem with my deck 1 cue button.
    I press it and deck 2 suddenly restarts playing its track from the beginning.
    I’m sure you can see the tragedy in this. I’d like to update everything and
    hope this resolves this issue however I’m still a bit standoffish to do so.
    About an hour ago I also received a beta of Serato 1.8.1 but have done nothing with it so far.

    Sure m8, strapped for time though with a new company, expansion into the US and few projects to contend with LOL.

    As soon as I have something for ya, I’ll let you know!

    And yeah, I can see THAT tragedy there.

    1.8.1 should resolve most still existing problems, however I do not have a controller that had problems so I cannot verify.

    Hi Guys , Please any update on the OSX El capitan ? I have never updated my laptop and feeling like doing so . Please help on any advice . Thanks

    Haven’t gigged with Serato recently. But I did with Mixvibes Cross which was stable.

    I think we are on the 2nd or 3rd upgrade to El Capitan since introduction (check anyone?), so most of the odd things should be fixed by now.

    Again, can’t be specific about gigging with Serato as it’s not my #1 platform.

    Terry on the other hands uses Serato with his TM8 on a Macbook if I am not mistaken. Perhaps he can update your further (pun intended).

    What’s up Bounty? Like you I was VERY standoffish when it came to updating to El Capitain.
    Spinning is how I pay my bills and I would prefer if NOTHING interfered with that. Again like you
    I decided to hold off on updating in hopes of all the “bugs” to be worked out and I posted in here a few times and spoke
    to Vintage as well. I held out for a WHILE and then finally a couple months back I updated to El Caitain and have had ZERO issues or “bugs”. I spin Serato DJ and use a Pioneer DDJ-SR. HOWEVER the left deck cue button when pushed will, for some reason, restart the track from the very beginng that’s ALREADY PLAYING on the RIGHT DECK. I was told that this is a hardware problem and not, NOT a software problem. If you happen to hear of any kind of fix for this please let me know. Until then I’ll continue to do all my mechanics on the right deck and then send it over to the left deck. This VASTLY cuts back on my cool factor and I would greatly appreciate any info on correcting my cool factor.

    I use El Capitan with Serato 1.8.2 now and TM8, no problems.
