Effect Parameter Controllers

My new favorite controller for effects is the novation nocturn, it has as many shifts as you like, a hud so you can see what the controls are doing all the time. It’s incredibly versatile, small, light and strong. No rubber knobs but you don’t really need them and you have led feedback for the position of the knob currently.

I have mapped the crap out of it for vdj pro for pc with full transport controls, eq, rmx-1000 inspired scene effects, sampler and efx-1000 inspired effects. so it can be self contained if need be, or just an addon for effects.

this is how the transport bit works, the rest is pretty obvious how it works, the breakdown effects are on the left and build effects are on the right. the rest is laid out left to right

I don’t follow what you mean by “screen shots of your mapping section” if you mean the mapper part of config it wouldn’t make sense as the mapping doesn’t fit in the tiny window, and unfortunately my mapping won’t work on mac because the effects aren’t available on mac, only windows.

It is a very good buy though, it’s only $100-125 new but I’m cheap and got one off eBay for $50 because I had never read any reviews or opinions on it, now it has become an essential part of my setup and wouldn’t hesitate to buy it new. but one thing you need to know is only the red backlit controls send midi, the green buttons are to change the automap software that runs in the background (hardware shifts), and the green encoder is just like a mouse wheel allowing you to adjust the position of whatever the mouse is pointing at, it’s useless for vdj though.
