    what exactly do you mean? Personally no i don’t… But there’s youtube videos… Particularly the ellaskins channel, which I highly recommend. And my personal favorite, a sort of POV video of Laidback Luke doing a mix. I find both of those helpful.

    Hello Shard :);
    I spent Many Many Hours listening to DJ Mixes before I decided that I wanted to buy my Own Equipment; and Practice the ‘Techniques’ that I had Heard and Loved over the Years; and so I have an idea what you are looking for;
    I see you are already a Member of SoundCloud;
    I Highly Recommend that you follow –

    As they have Mixes from Famous DJ’s going back from last week to 20 Years ago; a Lot of their Mixes are Free to Download; (and I still Download and Learn myself); and I think this is where you will get a Lot Of Inspiration 🙂

    Hi TheShard,

    mixcloud is very good for what you are trying to do here as you can see exactly what time a track is coming into the mix (if the uploader has correctly timestamped the mix that is). I can suggest listening to a mix then listening to the individual tracks and see if you can understand what is going on in the actual mix.

    I use effects and like to mash up tracks live when I play and I have also learned a great deal from just listening to different djs and their techniques. I have several live recorded mixes on my soundcloud if you want to have a listen.

    Also as I mentioned earlier mixcloud is a very useful tool. Have a listen to a dubstep mix I recently recorded http://i.mixcloud.com/C8Arf.

    I hope I have been helpful!

    Well, 90% of my mixes on my website are live, although I don’t use a lot of “tricks”. I mainly push solid programming and good blending.

    Have a look and ask questions. I agree with the other responses to. Just look for livesets and go from there.
