Blame a ghost or a gremlin then just keep going with either the same track or your next track. Whatever you have to think quick act quick and make light of it or just ignore it!

For me it’s Candy by Cameo, can’t fail to get the party going again with that one.

It’s an MJ song for me, either thriller, wanna be startin somethin, billie jean or something with a big build up to go from the dead silence back up. However, if it’s something like the crossfader situation I will just do it again – make it sound like an effect, like you meant to do it – turn on the ‘gater’. 😉

I know what you mean! Many, many years ago, at least in raves, if you had the drop from Faithless “Insomnia” ready to drop, you could be forgiven for anything – you’d just set it rolling and soak up the immediate approval! Nowadays of course that has to be one of the most overplayed riffs of all time. But I tend to agree with Newportdj Drew – just start off where you left off…

Candy is one of my faves.. I love to drop that in for a hip-hop crowd and have them go 😮 then blend in ‘All Bout U’ from Tupac.. then theyre all :D:rolleyes:

I’ve turned on the ‘gater’ a few times when a scratch session goes awry.. just kinda repeat the snafu with the same timing, lol

I’ve been lucky…rarely did the music completely stop.

Whenever I did have a crash, it seemed the program froze, but the music kept playing, and I’d just mix a CD on before resetting my laptop.

In my experience, sometimes this actually fixes itself if you leave it long enough. It’s a nervewracking minute or two though 😀

I know! I’ve had that happen and literally my ears were pricked to the speakers and my eyes were glued to the screen waiting!!!! I hate it!

Works like a charm for me.. just stop any track and play the FMIF remix from the 2:10 point. Never failed for me.
