I’d like the option of having a having 2 grids of monome style buttons either side of mixer section with an effects section above each of them and two nice big chunky knobs that I can twiddle to scrub through my tracks.

It sounds so good that I’m looking into building it myself as I speak. gonna call it the “Kitsch’n’Sync

Come to think of it, a tip for those who has joggs on their controller but does not use them::(
Why not mapping them to something else! ๐Ÿ™‚
My MC6000 is by default mapped to scroll playlist/songlist when pushing shift.
It is a very fast and exact way to scroll IMO. Other controllers might not be mapped that way?.
Also you can map joggs to Wet/Dry on efects section or to wider narrower loops or something else that you use often……
Use your imagination/fantasy and be creative you are DJs and that is not something for the non creative IMO:D

    Requirement? No.

As D-Jam mentioned…it’s down to personal preference.

I personally prefer to grid my tracks to perfection, use the X1s (using shift-browse to go through the tracks), sync them all up and go for some of that 4-deck love!

Before we get into that whole discussion again; remember kids, it’s a tool! Use it wisely ๐Ÿ˜‰

And agreeing with Hessler on this one; if you don’t use it, put it to creative use for efx control! Good fun! ๐Ÿ˜€

That’s a valid point.. I have my jogs mapped to control browsing under one modifier and some chained fx under a few others… Works like a charm for that, atm I am trying to map them to control the echo/freeze thing. Of course, still keeping them “vanilla” too ๐Ÿ™‚

Personally, I NEVER touch the jog wheels on my MC6000.

I’m the opposite. I love my jogs, but I think it’s because I came up from vinyl and am used to using platters to manipulate things manually when I need to…even just to cue.
