Been there, done that:
Volume: Make sure that people sitting in the first row can still chat without screaming. So normal loud conversation should be possible, much like a bar. Not too ambient, so you should have decent volume, but also not club level usually.
Speak to the agency doing the event. Some events they have clothing themes and some have model to model music changes. So it depends on what you do there on the way they want it handled.
Also sometimes they have like the “show bang” top model with top design that they want special entrance music for.
In these cases I sometimes went and searched deliberately for banging entrance music and went with some entrances from WWE’s music studio, as those wrestler entries are sometimes really drawing.
As for bpm do not overdo it and change it up depending on the theme. If the designs get more aggressive up the bpm, if it is casual wear go for lounge type bpm, sometimes I went with some arabic or latin for some summer designs and more asian (K-Pop) for some more exotic designs. So try to match your music to the designs and ask for a design overview so you can plan your music.
